Pleroma

Synopsis: Welcome to the Pleroma, a place outside time and space where god-level species have gathered to discuss the fate of the universe! It’s up to Captain Sisko and his valiant crew of the U.S.S. Theseus to persuade the gods to allow them to help repair Kahless’ unraveling of space-time, but will they listen to mere mortals responsible for their prophesied undoing?

The Story

Having arrived at the place of the gods. Sisko, Scotty, Dr. Crusher, and Tandela the last remaining Organian seek an audience with the gods with a little help from Aegis agent Soong. Their mission is to try and get the gods to agree to breath life into the dead Organian world, which perished during the war that was started by Kahless, but Sisko is acting against the wishes of the Bajorian Wormhole gods.

Meanwhile, while Sisko and Tandela speak with the council of gods, which is made up of omnipotent entities such as Apollo, Trelane, The Guardian of Forever and others. Beverly Crusher sneaks into Aegis and goes on a search for her son Wesley Crusher.

The Artwork

Megan Levens does a pretty good job of the artwork throughout this issue. I really loved the meeting room where the council of gods spoke to Sisko and his crew. Its a setting you could very easily come across in your average episode of Star Trek. Particularly impressive was how well the artist captured the likeness of Apollo and Trelane. This is particularly impressive given that both those characters only ever appeared in the TV series the once. So it was great to see the artist honor them in this way.

Overall

Another solid issue with a great cliffhanger ending that will keep readers on the edge of their seats until the next book is released. Will Beverly find her son Wesley and what will become of the Sisko? I can’t wait to find out.
