Synopsis: As war is looming on the horizon on the planet Shaso, the reluctant ruler of the Bloodaxe family is conflicted between living up to his father’s domineering legacy and maintaining the peace. It is up to him to settle the conflicts within himself, before the entire planet erupts in war.

The Story

Picking the story up from where last month’s issue left off. Yisrael Bloodaxe is still divided over what action to take when trying to sort the planet Shaso out before Motherworld strikes. Meanwhile, disillusioned with his father’s inaction, Darrian has joined the Wilderfolk in the hopes of leading them. Furious about this Yisrael sends his Daughter with some troops and orders her to bring Darrian back and deal with the wilderfolk.

Meanwhile, Yisreal’s head of military is asked to declare her loyalty to Motherworld who are standing by to take the planet Shaso and oust Yisream Bloodaxe and his family from the throne.

The Artwork

Clark Bint and the art team continue to do a solid job with the artwork. In this particular issue the standout panels are those that depict Darrian Bloodaxe’s run-in with the leader of the Wilderfolk when he says that he will lead them. The fight that ensues is nicely drawn as we see Darrian get taught a lesson for assuming that it would be easy to lead the desert people from which his late mother came from.

Overall

Mags Visaggio continues to provide an enthralling prequel to the events that we saw in the first Rebel Moon movie that first introduced us to Darrian and  Devra Bloodaxe and how their family lost power and their homeworld of Shaso to the evil Motherworld that rules most of the worlds in the Rebel Moon universe.

Overall a great issue that moves the story on a little and pretty much shows us the beginning of the end of the House of Bloodaxe’s rule on the Planet of Shasu.
