Synopsis: While staging a date night experience for Parker & Hardison at an ultra-secure freeport facility, the team comes across another heist in progress and must stop it to save the life of a 13-year-old boy.
While on an unusual date night. Parker and Hardison find themselves trapped in a vault of an Ultra Secure Freeport facility while a real heist gets underway. Luckily the rest of the Leverage team is on hand to help them out. As they wind up trying to figure out who is behind the real heist and why. However, things get a little more complicated when they learn that a 13-year-old boy is heir to the money and all of the art that is contained within the facility.
Aldis Hodge makes his second appearance this season as Alec Hardison who is enjoying a date night with Beth Riesgraf’s expert thief Parker. These two characters have long been my favorites from the series and their scenes throughout this episode illustrate why. As they are the most quirky characters on the show. Although Parker’s propensity for licking a million-plus-year-old dinosaur skull was kind of gross. Christian Kane gets to flex a bit of muscle as Elliot who also gets to demonstrate his knife-cutting skills at a chef’s table and he is scarily fast.
Overall. We saw some pretty solid acting throughout this episode from all cast members.
A fairly bog standard episode where we see a scam within a scam and some really fun quirky moments from our favorite Leverage power couple. I loved the scenes between Beth Riesgraf and the young actor that played the 13-year-old boy. As there were a few moments where you could almost see this kid growing up to be as quirky as Parker is. And as for that big dinosaur head. Well it proves to be a major plot point when all is revealed at the end.
Not the best episode that Leverage: Redemption has done. But it was still enjoyable as there are not really any bad Leverage: Redemption episodes.
