Synopsis: When the Doctor attempts to take Clara on a Skiing trip things get rather complex as he learns that what was once an ice planet is now a tropical holiday location for a rich industrialist and his wedding guests.
Review: Due for release next week this first comic book adventure for Peter Capaldi’s 12th Doctor and Clara shows much promise.
Written by Robbie Morrison with art by Dave Taylor and lettering by Hi-Fi Color. The series gets off to a cracking start with a dash of mystery mixed with a few moments of comedy.
Morrison has done a great job of finding the 12th Doctors voice. Especially in the moments where he is joking around with Clara.
Tayor’s artwork is fantastic and he has captured the likeness of the two lead characters really, really well. Though I did find his tropical jungle a tad OTT with the colour pallet. It didn’t do to much to pull me out of the story.
This first issue will hit comic book stores on 15th of October is is well worth investing a few shekels because we are left with a superb cliffhanger that will likely hook you in for issue two.
