THE WAGES OF SIN EQUAL DEATH!
Sin

Synopsis: THE WAGES OF SIN EQUAL DEATH! For months, Matt Murdock, his loved ones and his allies have been plagued by demons and devils of unknown origin! As the mystery surrounding the supernatural forces targeting Matt and those he loves the most has at last begun to become clear, the stage is set for Daredevil’s greatest foe to return to Hell’s Kitchen, bigger and badder than ever!

The Story

Picking up from where the 9th issue left off. Jason, who is one of the kids that Father Matt looks after in the orphanage has discovered that Father Matt is The Daredevil. Of course, Matt tries to lie his way out of it by claiming it is a Halloween costume, but Jason isn’t buying it. Just as Matt is about to plead with Jason to keep his secret. He gets a call from Nelson and North. Its Cole North with a lead about the location of Wilson Fisk. Armed with this new information Matt puts on his Daredevil costume to meet Electra as they both go after Fisk.

The Artwork

Juann Cabal once again does fantastic work for this book. I loved the confrontation between Daredevil and Fisk. I particularly liked the red wash surrounding him to suggest that the devil has possessed Fisk.

Overall

The Wages of Sin Equal Death is a strong issue that pays off on many of the plot threads we have seen over the past 9 issues. I loved the confrontation at the start where Jason calls Matt out for lying about his secret identity. It will be interesting to learn what happened to Jason’s father when Matt eventually catches up with him. If indeed he is in any shape to do so. The confrontation between Daredevil and Fisk is nicely done and as you’d expect. We get some great dialogue between the two as they duke it out.
