Synopsis: Will, Devon and Charlie journey home; Katie says goodbye to her daughter; Bram makes friends at camp; Maddie finds a new project.
Review: Will aided by Devon manages to get himself and Charlie back over the wall, but could their reunion be a short lived one?
This episode saw a ton of stuff happen amid a lot of subtext. I was surprised that Will and Devon had so easily gotten Charlie over the wall. Especially given the somewhat tense moment in which it very much looked like they had been spotted by the alien drone.
Elsewhere Katie has been getting more pressure to reveal the whereabouts of Broussard to the authorities and before Will turns up she is pretty much about to turn herself in.
In the camp Bram has found adapting tough, but meets a girl who sets him up with Snyder who asks Bram to be his spy in the camp.
I hate to say it. But this week’s episode mostly focused on getting Will back to LA, and as such was only really able to sow a few seeds for future plot threads.
We’re left with more questions than answers. One of which being. Why did the drone let Will finish climbing the wall. Do the aliens have some use for Will, Katie and the Bowman family. If so why?
There’s a nice little scene involving Devon and Charlie where the two compare battle scars. Devon pretty much tells the kid to be proud of his scares and not hide them. Which is pretty sound advice.
It will be interesting to see how things pan out in the coming weeks as Will and Katie reunite and of course how they manage the change in Charlie who has pretty much been living wild since the invasion.
I also look forward to seeing how the relationship between Bram and Snyder plays out.
