Synopsis: Jefferson, Anissa, and Jennifer discover that the ASA is now hunting the entire Pierce family. Meanwhile, Lynn does the unthinkable.
Review: The plot thickens as the Peirce family prepares to get some payback from the ASA.
Jennifer tells Jefferson that she did some work for Odell and most likely killed some people in the process. Jefferson is furious about this and with help from Gambi and Anissa. He formulates a plan to abduct Odell and get some voice samples as well as a digital rendering so that one of them can disguise themselves as Odell and get into the ASA, but things go wrong when an ASA task force led by Khalil finds them.
Elsewhere, Lynn, who is still struggling with her addiction has managed to get an ASA guard onside and has snuck back into the medical facility with a view to breaking Tobias out so she can continue her work on the drug that stabilizes the Meta Children.
Meanwhile, LaLa has learned that Lady Eve has been resurrected and is running a high-class brothel.
China Anne McClain puts in a solid performance as Jennifer who has had a lot to deal with of late and is starting to feel a bit undervalued given how overprotective Jefferson and Anissa have been. This is something that is further infuriating for her when she finds out that they hid the fact that Khalil was still alive from her. Luckily we still have James Remar around to steady the ship as the ever-reliable Gambi.
A fairly good character-driven episode, which was somewhat light on the action, but has plenty of intrigue.
I love how crafty Lynn has become when it comes to dealing with the ASA and more specifically dealing with Tobias. I’m also enjoying the new character of TC who has been helping Gambi with a bit of the computer hacking stuff and finds out who it was that put the hit out on Gambi. It’s also TC that gives Jennifer a little hope when it comes to Khalil. His unique gifts with computers and technology allow him to access the chip in Khalil’s head. It will be interesting to see whether or not TC is able to use his powers to free Khalil from the ASA programming so he can be with Jeniffer again.
Overall. A filler episode, which is building things up for the final two episodes, which will premier in the coming weeks.
