The first Millarworld Crossover Continues
Game

Description: In The Big Game, It’s Nemesis versus the Ambassadors, the Night Club, the Magic Order, Kingsman, and every single Millarworld creation you have ever known and loved over the years. This book is a BLOODBATH drawn by the biggest artist working in comics right now that continues the comic book event of 2023 with over twenty Millarworld franchises SMASHED together.

The Story

Having recruited Dr. Edison Crane in the last issue. Miss Griffin and Crane pay a visit to the Chrononauts in order to go back in time to 1985 to look at what the world was like before the supervillains took over. The only problem is. The Chrononauts have lost their funding, but with a financial boost from Crane, this issue gets solved fairly quickly.

Elsewhere, The Ambassadors download a bunch of superpowers as Korea and her group attempt to rescue Pakistan from Nemesis. However, Nemesis is several steps ahead of them and aims to make a mess as he takes control of the game.

The Artwork

Pepe Larraz continues to do some great things with the artwork. I really enjoyed the panels where we saw Edison Crane and Miss Griffin get ready to travel back to 1985 with the Chrononauts. Also, the panel where our time travelers find themselves in the middle of 42nd Street in 1985 is nicely done. However, not much time is spent in this time period before the time travelers return to base to find that Wesley Gibson’s people are waiting for them.

Also good was the sequence of panels where we see a couple of would-be assassins looking to kill Hit-Girl.

Overall

This issue does a great job of continuing the story. But we are yet to find out the full of scope of Wesley Gibson’s plan other than wiping out any and all heroes with superpowers. I enjoyed the inclusion of Hit-Girl and the fact that it is Gary ‘Eggsy’ Unwin who is used to save Hit-Girl from being murdered. This makes sense given that he started out as somewhat of a misfit much like Mindy aka Hit-Girl did.

Overall. I’m really looking forward to seeing where this goes in the next issue.
