‘Arrow’ and ‘The Flash’ producer Greg Berlanti is to head up a movie adaptation of the comic book series ‘Infinite Horizon.’
Berlanti is heading this latest big screen project up for Warner Bros, who currently hold the movie rights for the six issue Image Comics series.
Ryan Condal (Hercules) wrote the spec script based on Gerry Duggan’s work, a modern war tale inspired by Homer’s Odyssey, but with a nameless protagonist. Sorry, Odysseus/Ulysses fans.
Sarah Schechter and Lawrence Grey will produce, while Condal will executive produce. Drew Crevello and Julia Spiro will oversee for Warner Bros.
This is not the first comic book adaptation that Berlanti has been a part of for the big screen. Fans will probably remember that Berlanti was one of the main writers for the failed ‘Green Lantern’ movie, which was released through Warner back in 2011. Hopefully Berlanti’s positive experience working on small screen comic book adaptations will rub off on this new project and make it more of a commercial success than ‘Green Lantern’ was.
