2015 is going to be the year that ‘Godzilla’ will be roaring his way onto Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 gaming consoles.

The announcement was made earlier this week that developer Natsume-Atari and publisher Bandai Namco were prepping to unleash the monster game in which players get to assume the role of ‘Godzilla’. The game will see you stomping through many environments including some of our major cities.

Players must destroy an area’s energy generator to progress, collecting G-Energy to grow larger and more powerful.

It features famous monsters such as Mothra, King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla, as well as a dynamic “movie-style camera angle system”.

The game will have a 20 stage mission mode, a Diorama mode and a King of the Monsters mode in which Godzilla must fight through a selection of different beasts.

Bandai Namco’s Herve Hoerdt said: “Godzilla has had a long history and is one of Japan’s most famous and massive pop culture exports that have entertained millions of people for generations in the West.”The game will be released on PS4 and PS3 next summer.
