The Lannisters and the Starks are to take a pause in their ongoing rivalry in an attempt to support and lend a helping hand to the worlds refugees.
They are urging everyone to rise up and join them.
HBO and ‘Game of Thrones’ have joined the International Rescue Committee to launch the ‘Rescue Has No Boundaries’ campaign. It aims to bring attention to the global refugee crisis and raise emergency funds.
Lena Headey – aka Queen Cersei herself – leads the campaign which has also been supported by cast members including Sophie Turner (Sansa), Maisie Williams (Arya), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime), Liam Cunningham (Davos) and John Bradley (Sam).
As an incentive to get folks involved. Some lucky fans could win the chance to attend the season six premiere and after-party, as well as get their hands on exclusive merchandise like an authentic replica of a dragonglass dagger and a signed season five poster.
