Cirroc Lofton was just 14 years old when he began the role of Jake Sisko on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in 1993 and he was a regular throughout the entire run of the show. Now, Cirroc is coming to Star Trek Renegades, as he reprises his role as the son of Benjamin Sisko.
Please join us in welcoming Jake to Renegades and with his on-screen best friend, Nog, returning to Trek as well, it promises to be an exceptional time!
Cirroc has enjoyed a storied career that includes acting, singing, and even opening a restaurant in Culver City, CA, several years back, called Café Cirroc. But his passion lies in acting and he has done it since he was nine. He has appeared in a variety of television shows and movies, including an appearance as the Vulcan Sevar in the 2007 film, Star Trek: Of Gods and Men.
But he is best known in Star Trek lore as Jake Sisko, where he and his best friend, Nog, were inseparable.
With a now-adult Jake preparing to make his appearance in Renegades, we hearken back to a question that was asked of Cirroc during a 2010 interview with StarTrek.com, the official site of Star Trek. He was asked, “What do you think Jake Sisko is up to now?”
His answer? “He was on a path of discovery at the end of the show and I believe now that he’s really found who he is as a person, that he’s matured, that he’s experienced life and all its ranges of emotion. And I think maybe he’s ready now to take on the position of being in charge.”
What, indeed, will Jake be doing…
