Young up and coming actor Christian Convery has scored himself a big time role in the movie ‘Beautiful Boy’.

At just seven years old the young actor will play along side comedy star Steve Carell in a movie, which is under production on Brad Pitt’s Plan B production company. Convery will portray Steve Carell’s youngest son and Timothee Chalamet’s (‘Call Me By Your Name’) little brother in the movie.

The Amazon Studios Drama is being produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B banner (‘The Big Short’). ‘Beautiful Boy’ is based on David Sheff’s book “Beautiful Boy: a Father’s Journey Through His Son’s Addiction” as well as Nic Scheff’s “Tweak: Growing Up On Methamphetamines”, which described Nic’s (Chalamet) methamphetamine addiction and its impact on his family.

Convery plays Jasper Sheff, a happy seven-year-old who must deal with the serious effects drug addiction has on an older brother whom he adores.
Felix Van Groeningen (‘The Broken Circle Breakdown’) directs the screenplay that he co-wrote with Luke Davies (‘Lion’). Filming began late March in Los Angeles.
When asked what he liked the best about working on ‘Beautiful Boy’, Christian Convery had this to say: “Making friends, talking to the cast and crew. Getting to be in LA to film and getting a rooftop pool with views of the Hollywood sign! Meeting Steve Carell and playing his son in the movie plus he played Gru in Despicable Me!”
Although this is the biggest thing that Christian has done to date. He has carved out a great acting resume with roles in such hit series as ‘Supernatural’, ‘Lucifer’, and ‘Christmas List’.
All of this and his new role in ‘Beautiful Boy’ pretty much insures that Christian Convery is definitely one that we’ll be looking out for in the future.
