The new season of ‘Agents Of Shield’ has gotten underway and thus far we have seen ghost rider and some mysterious ghostly spirits show up to take out an asian gang. But could we be seeing Frank Castle aka The Punisher show up somewhere down the line?
For the last couple of weeks their have been rumours of a potential crossover involving Marvels anti-hero. But nothing as yet has been confirmed.
The rumours began shortly after a Tweet that showed up late last week.
The New York Comic Con announced that actor Jon Bernthal, who plays Frank Castle aka The Punisher, would make limited appearances at the event due to his “Netflix production schedule”.

The timing of this announcement was suspicious given that production on ‘The Punisher’ series is not due to begin yet.
Added to that a recent Agents of SHIELD season four premiere screening saw Marvel Head of TV Jeph Loeb introduce comic writer Felipe Smith and Gerry Conway, who wrote Castle’s first comic appearance in 1974.
“You will understand why I brought all of these people here later in the season, and why it makes sense,” Loeb reportedly said (via Collider).
Collider also pointed out that the shows darker tone and later 10pm timeslot is a strong case for some Punisher Action.
Of course nothing is official at this point. So this report should be taken with a huge pinch of salt.
But as always it is fun to speculate on what sort of stories we could see with Franke Castle and the Agents Of Shield.
As a fan of the series. I’ll likely keep watching anyhow irrespective of whether Punisher makes an appearance. Hell I’m just stoked that ‘The Punisher’ is getting his own series.
