Tom Hardy Signed For Three ‘Mad Max’ Sequels

The actor, who makes his debut as the titular character next month, said that it all rides on the success of Mad Max: Fury Road.

Last week saw the premier of the movie trailer for the long awaited ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’, which will premier next month.

It has been revealed that Tom Hardy, who takes over the role of Max from Mel Gibson for the film has signed a deal to do three more ‘Mad Max’ films.

The actor, who makes his debut as the titular character next month, said that it all rides on the success of Mad Max: Fury Road.

“Everything’s based on figures and how things are perceived. Inevitably it’s a business,” he told Esquire.

Warner Bros is yet to reveal future plans for the franchise.

The storyline of Fury Road centres on Hardy’s Max and Charlize Theron’s Imperator Furiosa, two rebels who may hold the key to restoring order to an apocalyptic world.

Mad Max: Fury Road will open in cinemas on May 14, the same day as its Cannes Film Festival premiere.
