Tom Hardy Quits ‘Suicide Squad’ Movie

According to Comic Book Resources the reason for the actors departure from the project have yet to be revealed.

Tom Hardy who played Bane in Christopher Nolan’s final Batman movie ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ was supposed to be playing the role of Rick Flag in DC and Warner Bros ‘Suicide Squad’, but has apparently dropped out of the project.

According to Comic Book Resources the reason for the actors departure from the project have yet to be revealed.

The actors involvement in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s frontier drama ‘The Revenant,’ whose shoot appears to be running longer than planned could well be the reason for the sudden departure.

Hardy would have played Rick Flag, leader of the Suicide Squad, in David Ayer’s adaptation, which the director has described as the “‘Dirty Dozen’ with supervillains,”

Hardy’s exit from the film leaves us with Jared Leto as the Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Boomerang. Viola Davis is reportedly nearing a multi-picture deal to play Amanda Waller.

Hardy can next be seen in ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’.
