TNT have revealed that they will be renewing their hit fantasy series ‘The Librarians’ for a third season of new adventures.

The series, which airs Sunday nights on TNT and Monday’s here in the UK on Syfy Channel is midway through its second season and seems to be the gift that keeps on giving when it comes to a great mix of light drama, adventure and comedy.

Even better is the news that the third season will have 15 episodes and not the 10 that it has this series or the 8 that it had during its first year. This is a huge vote of confidence from TNT in the show, which is executive produced by John Rogers, who is best known for his great work on ‘Leverage’ and many other films and television properties.

The season two finale of ‘The Librarians’ will premier on December 27 on TNT.
