‘Supergirl’ is due to land on UK television screens later this month when the fresh new series lands on Sky One.
Melissa Benoist will make her UK premier on Thursday, October 29 at 8pm.
This means that UK viewers of the popular Satellite and Cable channel will have three solid evenings of back to back superhero action from the DC Stable. Currently airing on Tuesday’s and Wednesdays are ‘The Flash’ and ‘Arrow’. So with ‘Supergirl’ landing on Thursday’s that makes for three super evenings of heroic entertainment.
Also the day that ‘Supergirl’ makes its premier is just three days after the new show airs in the USA. To bad that Sky cannot be as vigilant with their scheduling of ‘The Flash’ and ‘Arrow’ because currently UK fans are a week behind on those shows.
Adam MacDonald, director of Sky1, said: “I am delighted to announce Supergirl is coming to Sky1. We’ve already seen in the success of The Flash and Arrow that comic-book characters are a big hit with our customers, and with this fresh, fast-paced new series, we’re giving them another sure-fire superhero smash.”
