The bad news is. We still have to wait until December to see the new ‘Star Wars’ movie, but the good news is that fans of collectable ‘Star Wars’ toys, video games and other tie in goodies will be able to get their mits on the first ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ goodies in September, which is in plenty of time for both the movie to hit and Christmas.

September 4 is the date in which you will likely see most stores and online merchants stocking all manner of new tie in products to do with the latest ‘Star Wars’ movie. Products will also be made available at Disneystore.com as well.

“Every lightsaber, every action figure, every LEGO set tells a story for generations of Star Wars fans, and this global event is a celebration of those stories. We’re excited to be part of the countdown to this enormous movie moment,” said Josh Silverman, executive vice president of global licensing for Disney Consumer Products, in a news release.

The official ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ packaging has been released and as you can see in the image above. It features a glimpse at Kylo Ren, the new masked villain.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters December 18.
