‘Star Wars’ Episode VII To Be Called ‘The Force Awakens’

The new film, which will be released in December of 2015 picks up the story roughly 25 years after events seen in 'Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi.'

Earlier today J.J. Abrams revealed that the official title for ‘Star Wars’ Episode VII is to be ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.

The new film, which will be released in December of 2015 picks up the story roughly 30 years after events seen in ‘Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi.’

The film revisits the iconic characters of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Leia and will introduce a new generation of characters as well.

Original stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker and Peter Mayhew are returning, with John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson and Lupita Nyong’o among the new faces.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut in cinemas on December 18, 2015.
