Soundtrack Review: ARROW– Original Television Soundtrack: Season 2

Composed by Blake Neely this soundtrack is something that fans may not have had time to appreciate on its own and surprisingly it works as well as a stand alone listening experience than it does as part of the television series.

Out now – and in time for the new series is the soundtrack from the dramatically charged second season of ‘Arrow,’ which saw the series build up to a huge change for the characters.

Composed by Blake Neely this soundtrack is something that fans may not have had time to appreciate on its own and surprisingly it works as well as a stand alone listening experience than it does as part of the television series.

A lot happened in the second season of ‘Arrow’ because were saw the introduction of Black Canary and the cross over episode that introduced Barry Allen who later goes on to become The Flash, but we also saw the proper introduction of Deathstroke.

All these events our chronicled with Neely’s outstanding soundtrack.

Perhaps one of my favorite pieces of music on this collection is ‘Deathstroking,’ which uses a great mix of synthesizers and drums. It also reminded me of how epic a villain Deathstroke was in the series.

‘Roy Becomes A Hero’ is another stand out due to the fact that have already listened to it multiple times. I love the percussive elements of this particular piece of music and how it builds.

‘ARROW– Original Television Soundtrack: Season 2’  and is available now via all good retail outlets as both a digital and physical copy.
