Second Series Of Agent Carter To Be 10 – Episodes

We do however know how many episodes it will be and in a new interview Hayley Atwell confirmed that we will be getting 10 episodes for the second series of the show.

Its only been couple of weeks since it was revealed that Marvels ‘Agent Carter’ had been renewed, but still we know very little about the direction that it will take.

We do however know how many episodes it will be and in a new interview Hayley Atwell confirmed that we will be getting 10 episodes for the second series of the show.

The actress revealed all this and more at the recent Comicpalooza in Houston, which was held over the weekend. You can view a brief video of Hayley Atwell talking about ‘Agent Carter’ below.

When asked about whether fans can expect to see Peggy’s backstory, Atwell said: “I had this conversation with the show runners a couple of weeks ago, and we talked about what is it that the audience wants to see.

“What was very exciting is, in a second season she’s grieved over Steve and she’s now about to embark on a new adventure in her life. So she’s in a much better place, so in terms of where she is it’s going to be a lot lighter for her, there’s going to be more humour to her and more warmth. She’s not struggling so much with her identity.”

Atwell also spoke a little about the shows move from New York to a post war Los Angeles.

“I also think the show runners really want to move it forward”, she said. “So it’s going to be set in LA and with 10 episodes it’s going to be a very glamorous, dark world of 1940s Los Angeles.

“I think it might be touched upon a little bit about her background, but I think we want to move it forward so the audience feel like we are taking them on a new journey.”

Much like last year ABC are running ‘Agent Carter’ as a mid-season show. So it will most likely be the mid season filler that breaks up the two half seasons of ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’
