Season Six Order For ‘Grimm’ Slashed By NBC

The sixth season of ‘Grimm’ is looking very much like it could be shorter.

NBC ordered a sixth season of the Sean Hayes-produced supernatural drama on April 5 – but new reports suggest its episode order will be reduced.

Deadline have revealed that the usual season order of 22 episodes could likely be slashed to just 13 episodes. This could likely mean that season six will be ‘Grimm’s’ final season.

A reduced order would also  be useful in fitting in all of NBC’s eight returning dramas into the primetime schedule next year.

Announcing the cult hit’s renewal two weeks ago, NBC president Jennifer Salke said: “We absolutely love what our producers and cast have accomplished over the past five seasons.

“They have created a whole new world of creatures and have a truly devoted fan base. We can’t wait to see what comes next.”

Created by ‘Blue Streak‘s’ Stephen Carpenter, ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘s’ David Greenwalt and ‘Angel‘s’ Jim Kouf, ‘Grimm’ has aired on NBC since Halloween 2011.
