Sci Fi Pulse retracts Supergirl renewal article.

Sci Fi Pulse supports the cast and crew of Supergirl and hopes CBS will in fact renew the series for a second season.

Sci Fi Pulse posted an article on April 11th, 2016, reporting that the CBS had in fact renewed SuperGirl for a second season. However, CBS has to date not officially renewed the fan popular SuperGirl series and as such, Sci Fi Pulse and the article’s writer, Tye Bourdony retract the article entitled, ‘Supergirl Renewed for 2nd Season’.

In fact, CBS CEO, Les Moonves; strongly hinted to investors at a recent investor conference, that a Supergirl renewal was potentially forthcoming, saying that he believed all five of the network’s 2015 – 2016 freshman shows (which would include SuperGirl), would be renewed.

These comments by Moonves sparked speculation by several media outlets, including Sci Fi Pulse’s reporter Tye Bourdony, to inaccurately report SuperGirl’s renewal. The truth of the matter is that no Official CBS announcement regarding SuperGirl’s second season renewal has to date been made.

While it might seem to some that the series will in fact be renewed, CBS may simply be waiting to see what the ratings look like on season one’s final episodes before deciding the fate of the much loved SuperGirl series. Likewise CBS and the show’s producer’s may simply be working the show’s fan base into a frenzy in order to drum up support for a freshman show that has recently had less than stellar viewership ratings.

It is also possible however that CBS has already decided to renew the series and is simply waiting for a more appropriate time to let the public know.  Until CBS makes an official announcement however, Sci Fi Pulse continues to support SuperGirl’s second season renewal, with Tye Bourdony pledging to remain diligent and transparent in all future science fiction, superhero & related genre news and reporting.
