Rising Teen Star Mitchell Kummen Lands Role Of Young Heat Wave In ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’

16-year old Mitchell Kummen, who many will remember from his role of the 13-year old Ig Perrish in the Daniel Radcliffe movie 'Horns' has landed the role of the young Heat Wave in a forthcoming episode of 'Legends Of Tomorrow'.

16-year old Mitchell Kummen, who many will remember from his role of the 13-year old Ig Perrish in the Daniel Radcliffe movie ‘Horns’ has landed the role of the young Heat Wave in a forthcoming episode of ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’.

Kummen will play the teenage version of Mick Rory AKA Heat Wave, who is played by Dominic Purcell in the series.

The episode that Kummen will take part in is due to premier on April 21 in the US and introduces viewers the a young and confused teenage version of one ‘Legend Of Tomorrow’s’ most belligerent characters. The episode will be titled ‘Last Refuge’ and sees the young Mick during his early fascination with fire. The episode is to be directed by Rachel Talalay and is written by Chris Fedak & Matthew Maala.

Mitchell Kummen is a hot new talent who hails from Canada and since appearing in ‘Horns’ has been seen in a number of television projects, which include the short lived American remake of ‘The Tomorrow People’ in which he played the young version of John in a couple of episodes, which explored the characters back story. But most recently he snagged a guest role in ‘Minority Report’ in which he portrayed the young version of Dash.

Fans can catch Kummen’s stint in ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ on April 21.
