The makers of ‘Ripper Street’ have released the first official trailer for the third series, which will premier through Amazon’s Video On Demand Service with a double bill on Friday November 14.

Subsequent episodes will follow every Friday and will end on Boxing Day with the explosive finale.

Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn, Adam Rothenberg and Myanna Buring are all seen reprising their roles in the new trailer, which teases a devastating train wreck sequence that opens the new series.

Originally cancelled by BBC One after two series, Ripper Street was revived as part of a co-production with Amazon Prime Instant Video back in February.

The third run – which will see Sherlock‘s Louise Brealey join the cast – will transmit on BBC One in 2015.

It looks brilliant. I hope they get to resolve the various story lines.
