New plans for ’24’ movie are in development

Imagine Entertainment chairman Brian Grazer is said to be keen to revive the project, but the idea has yet to be pitched to 20th Century Fox.

It would seem the recent success of ’24: Live Another Day’ has reignited the creative spark for a ’24’ feature film.

According to new reports from TV Line negotiations have started between Fox and Imagine Entertainment with a view to making a movie happen. The idea is to continue the momentum started by ’24: Live Another Day,’ which was a success in the USA as well as here in the UK.

Imagine Entertainment chairman Brian Grazer is said to be keen to revive the project, but the idea has yet to be pitched to 20th Century Fox.

’24’ executive producer Jon Cassar recently told Digital Spy that there is still potential for a big screen outing for Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland).

He said: “We’re still talking about it. It’s still potentially out there.”

Following the conclusion of ’24: Live Another Day,’ Cassar said that a future installment wasn’t in the works.

However, Fox CEO Peter Rice hinted that the show “has many more stories to tell”, and that they plan “to sit down and talk to the creators”.
