Melissa McCarthy, who is perhaps best known for her roles in ‘The Heat’ and the television series ‘Mike & Molly’ is in talks for a major role in the all female led ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that the comedy actor is in early talks for the film.
McCarthy and director Feig have already worked together on ‘The Heat,’ ‘Bridesmaids’ and ‘Spy.’
The actor is already working on television sitcom ‘Mike & Molly’ and is believed to also be in talks for a role in Michelle Darnell, which is being directed by her husband Ben Falcone, in March. This would allow her to commit to ‘Ghostbusters’ in June.
‘Workaholics’ star Jillian Bell and ‘Saturday Night Live‘s’ Cecily Strong are also due to attend talks with Feig.
