This is a case of fans hoping and praying that the films script and story proves to be better than the title, which sounds like a cheesy Saturday morning cartoon from the 70s or 80s.
Either way the Twitterverse list up earlier today as the films director Justin Lin confirmed the films title as the long rumored ‘Star Trek Beyond’.

The ‘LLAP’ hashtage was a reference to the ‘live long and prosper’ mantra often spoken by Spock, who was played by the late Leonard Nimoy in the original series, and by both Zachary Quinto and Nimoy in the new films.
Little is known about the plot of ‘Star Trek Beyond’, other than that Idris Elba is reportedly succeeding Benedict Cumberbatch as its lead villain.
Last week, reports emerged that Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto are both already on board for a fourth Star Trek movie.
Star Trek Beyond opens on July 8, 2016 in the US and the UK.
