Jon Bernthal Reveals When He’ll Start Filming ‘The Punisher’ TV Series

"We are going to do a show with him next year," he said. "I'm really excited about that."

Actor Jon Bernthal has revealed when he’ll be starting work on the new ‘Punisher’ television series.

The actor, who plays the titular character, shared in an interview with AwardsDaily that the programme is still quite a long way from beginning production.

“We are going to do a show with him next year,” he said. “I’m really excited about that.”

‘The Punisher’ aka Frank Castle made his debut earlier this year in the second season of ‘Daredevil’.

Bernthal who pretty much stole the show with his portrayal of Frank Castle revealed that he was a huge fan of the Netflix binge watch model.

“I really dig… [the] all-at-once delivery system of material,” he said, “because it allows for real freedom in the way that you tell a story. You can be bold and take risks, or abandon the audience and go very far.

“The way most of this material is digested is all at once. They don’t have to wait three or four months to win the audience back to explain their actions. I really dig it.

“As a character study and acting, you can’t ask for anything more.”

Marvel’s Luke Cage is next up. All episodes will premiere on September 30 this year.
