‘Torchwood’ star John Barrowman who is currently playing a recurring role in ‘Arrow’ is known by fans to be a tease when it comes to his various roles and antics.
In a recent video posted to his Facebook page the ‘Torchwood’ star revealed that he was setting off for Cardiff, but wouldn’t reveal why.
Of course this has gotten fans wondering if Barrowman was preparing to reprise his Captain Jack Harkness role for a forthcoming episode of ‘Doctor Who’.
In the video the actor thanks ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Torchwood’ fans for attending a recent signing event he attended in Cardiff and added that he’d be returning soon.
“I will be back in Cardiff in about a week and a half,” he says in a Facebook video, adding: “But I’m not telling you what for…sssh!”
At present though there is no word official or unofficial about any planned return for John Barrowman to ‘Doctor Who’, but we here at scifipulse.net like the rest of you would love to see it happen.
‘Doctor Who’ showrunner Steven Moffat’s final series is currently in the planning stages, and is set to introduce Peter Capaldi’s new companion Pearl Mackie.
Barrowman has long championed a return for Captain Jack to ‘Doctor Who’, but thus far it is yet to happen.
The last time Barrowman got to play Captain Jack on ‘Doctor Who’ was during David Tennant’s final episode as the 10th Doctor. The last time we saw Captain Jack in action on ‘Torchwood’ was in the poorly received ‘Torchwood: Miracle Day’, but has since moved on with some brilliant audio dramas for Big Finish.
