Jim Parsons, who plays the role of super nerd Sheldon Cooper in the hit comedy ‘Big Bang Theory’ has revealed that he isn’t bored with playing the part of Sheldon Cooper.
The Emmy winning actor recently started filming the eighth season of the comedy after he and other cast members negotiated new deals.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “I never get bored playing Sheldon. You get used to it – and that’s good, too… it can help to deepen things, but it’s so nice to have a reminder of the remarkable character you’ve been given a chance to inhabit.”
Filming for the new episodes was delayed as Parsons and co-stars Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco waited to sign new deals.
Parsons denied that there was a walkout over pay, saying: “You see the word ‘strike’ – ‘They’re walking out!’ – but there was nothing to walk out from.
“That’s always hard, because part of you wants to explain to people what’s really going on. ‘Don’t worry, we’re not leaving, we want to do the show.'”
