James Cameron Gives A Thumbs Up For ‘Terminator: Genisys

'Terminator' co-creator gives his approval for the latest movie in the series.

‘Terminator’ co-creator James Cameron, who was part responsible for the original 1984 movie and its sequel ‘Terminator: Judgement Day’ has given his approval to the latest film in the franchise ‘Terminator: Genisys’.

Cameron who co-wrote and directed the first two and most successful films in the series said that he thinks of this latest film as a true third movie to the series.

He quietly dismissed 2003’s ‘Terminator: Rise Of The Machines’ and 2009’s ‘Terminator: Salvation’ by saying that he feels like “the franchise has been reinvigorated”.

“This is a renaissance,” the director – who has no involvement with Genisys – added.

The director and movie innovator went onto praise Emilia Clarke’s new version of Sarah Connor, explaining that she “represents a kind of empowerment”, while retaining a “vulnerability”.

Terminator Genisys opens on July 1 in the US and July 2 in the UK.
