Jake LLoyd in Psychiatric facility

The first actor to portray a young Anakin Skywalker is now being treated for Schizophrenia.

Unfortunately, the actor who portrayed young Anakin Skywalker, Jake Lloyd, in the first of the Star Wars Prequels, Episode I: The Phantom Menace, has recently been moved from a jail cell and into a psychiatric facility in order to be treated for schizophrenia.

The young actor it seems had been serving time for a number of charges stemming from a 2015 arrest due to his part in a high speed car chase. The dangerous car chase ended with Lloyd crashing his vehicle after attempting to flee police for well over 25 miles from Charleston to Colleton County in South Carolina.

The actor was potentially diagnosed with mental illness while serving jail time and while Lloyd is not scheduled to be released anytime in the near future, the primary focus is on his health rather than on his release. Sci Fi Pulse wishes Mr. Lloyd a successful recovery and all the best moving forward.
