Synopsis: As Wil and Amberle prepare to leave for the Bloodfire. A terrifying shape-shifting demon tries to kill Amberle and lay the blame on Eretria.

Review: Picking up from last week we see Amberle pass yet another test, which puts the seed of the Ellcrys into her care for its journey to Wilderun.

Meanwhile Eretria arrives and seduced Wil in an attempt to once more steal the elf stones, but as she tries to make good her escape the changeling assumes her identity and makes a stab at killing Amberle, but flees, which leads to the palace guards capturing the real Eretria just as she things she has gotten away.

This third episode in the series finally brings the team of adventures together for their journey to Wilderun, but it also sees Allanon having to stay behind in order to protect the Elven Kingdom. As well as the surrounding lands.

Moving forward things are going to get interesting given that Amberle doesn’t trust Eretria one bit and poor Wil is most likely going to have to keep the two from each others throats.

As a set up episode this was pretty good, but the tension and suspense throughout when the group was trying to track down the changeling killer wasn’t really that tense, but that is probably due to the fact that have seen a lot of story-lines that follow a similar pattern.
