Barry heads for Earth-3 to get advice from Jay Garrick on how to stop Savitar

Synopsis: Barry heads for Earth-3 to get advice from Jay Garrick on how to stop Savitar; Wally tells Barry he’s been training with H.R.; old wounds are reopened as Cisco faces Christmas without Dante.

Review: With Christmas approaching and Savitar still out there. Barry can’t settle or relax. So he makes trip to Earth 3 to get some help and advice from Jay Garrick.

As things move along and thanks to some research the team figure out that Alchemy is none other than Barry’s old work mate Julian.

After capturing and recruiting Julian’s help. The team figure out a way to get rid of Savitar by chucking his box into the speed force, but if prophecy proves to be true. They may just be a temporary fix.

This was a really enjoyable episode in which a lot of plot threads such as Wally being official as Kid Flash get a little closure.

We see some fantastic acting performances from Tom Felton as Julian Albert and a really strong showing from Carlos Valdes as the grief stricken Cisco who Savitar uses in order to get free of his box.

I especially enjoyed seeing John Wesley Shipp return as Jay Garrick and getting to see him take on Trickster aka Mark Hamill again was brilliant.  I also liked the fact that this was a different take on Trickster and one that I hope we get to see again.

I continue to be a bit hot and cold with regard to H.R. and would much rather we have Dr. Harrison Wells back from the other Earth. This is no slight on Tom Cavanagh. It’s more because I prefer the more crotchety scientist to the overgrown school boy character.
