In review: Killjoys – Boondoggie

The final confrontation between Dutch and her Hollen tormentor is absolutely epic and features a very typical Dutch line in the form of "We sure as shit don't like to lose."

Synopsis: Dutch, D’Avin and the gang attempt to acquire a transponder before the Hollen can get their hands on it.

Review: Killjoys returns with a bang and more plot twists than you can shake a stick at.

A short time has passed since we last saw our heroes and this week they are going all out to take the fight back to the crime syndicate known as the Hollen who have pretty much been attempting to infiltrate most of the star systems, but have recently been pushed back from Westerly.

Dutch and the gang are still missing a key member in the form of Johnny who is still off trying to take down the factory, but with Clara now missing. His priorities have changed and he has to enlist the help of another modified human in order to try and find her.

Meanwhile the Hollen are trying to push their way back into Westerly, but Dutch and the gang have hatched a plot to try and draw them out.

This opening episode sees the gang having to overcome being captured by the Hollen as well as deal with the fact that Johnny is still out on his own. This is something that is having more of an impact on Dutch than anyone else.

As you’d expect the fight sequences and effects are as eye popping as ever.

The prison break within this episode is absolutely brilliant and involves just about all of our favourite characters as they show new comer Pippin how to hide the tools of the trade under artificial skin and such.

The final confrontation between Dutch and her Hollen tormentor is absolutely epic and features a very typical Dutch line in the form of “We sure as shit don’t like to lose.”

This has me getting very animated from my sofa as I was shouting yeah. You tell them girl.

If this is anything to go by. It looks like we have a fantastic third season ahead of us.
