Synopsis: It looked like an easy salvage job, but when things go wrong the Killjoys are trapped on an abandoned shit and must face their own dark pasts.

Review: Yet more is revealed about our heroes in this story, which sees them trapped on a vessel with a mad man and a computer system that can destroy and reconstruct a human body via the use of nanobots.

Although we learn a little more about all three main characters in this story, we learn more about D’Avin Jaqobis and his past with the millitary. D’Avin is the first to be tortured by the machine, which is a machine he is lured to by the untrustworthy and somewhat crazy Torture Lieutenant who uses his army connection as a means to bond with D’Avin and groom him for the machine.

Ultimately this episodes conclusion sees the brothers become closer as John learns of D’Avin’s past and says that he’ll help in anyway.

In the final moments of the episode D’Avin is being examined by his Doctor girlfriend who learns that someone put a sophisticated set of memory blocking implants into D’Avin’s brain.

Also Dutch seems to still be seeing her father via hallucinations and is seemingly being called upon by him to do something that she doesn’t want to do. Seems her father is not beyond threatening the lives of her friends.

For me this is the best episode to date of this series and I only hope that Syfy UK actually show the second season much closer to when it airs in the USA. I mean its not as if they’ll be able to show ‘Lost Girl’ or ‘Defiance’ over the summer.
