In Review: Guardians of the Galaxy #26

This book along with this series are both a lot of fun, with good writing and very nice art.

Published by Marvel Comics, Guardians of the Galaxy #26 is written by Brian Michael Bendis, illustrated by Valero Schiti and colored by Jason Keith.

Issue #26 is really about Peter Quill, A.K.A. Starlord and the rest of the members of his intergalactic crew of powerful misfits, along with the X-Men’s Kitty Pryde, coming to terms with Peter’s ascension to the role of President of the Spartax Empire as well as arriving on his other home planet in order to finally begin the transition from his long journey toward adulthood.

Readers and fans of the Guardians of the Galaxy also get to see Peter and Kitty toy with the idea of marriage, but it would seem that their love is just never going to be given the chance to blossom. There always seems to be some mission to save the galaxy or another life threatening super powered menace for these two love birds to have deal with first, before they can actually spend some quality alone time.

It will also be interesting to see just how well Starlord’s rag tag band of space heroes can clean up and assume official roles within the Starlord presidency of the Spartax Empire.

It is also interesting to note that Guardians of the Galaxy will in fact be concluding after the very next issue, with the books title being  changed to Guardians of Knowhere.

This book along with this series are both a lot of fun, with good writing, very nice art and is easily a very good way to spend $3.99, so I highly recommend GOTG fans run out and pick up a copy.
