Synopsis: After Prometheus attacks Curtis, Oliver realizes Prometheus knows all of Team Arrow’s secret identities and is planning to come for them one by one. Felicity and Detective Malone discover a clue that links Prometheus to Oliver’s past.

Review: This year Arrow celebrates Christmas once again by giving us another version of ‘It’s Not Such A Wonderful Life’, which is alternatively known as ‘We’re All Screwed’.

Curtis gets his butt handed to him yet again. Which for me has to be the running joke of the season. Artemis reveals herself as the traitor within. Curtis’s hubby pretty much starts divorce proceeding after finding out that his hubby’s secret is that he is a punch bag for the villains of Star City.

And Ollie accidentally kills Felicity’s new boy toy aka Detective Malone.

Add to that the fact that Diggle is recaptured. It would seem that Oliver is prepping his stereo to play ‘It’ll be Lonely This Christmas.’

Much of this episode is made up of Flash Backs to a first season adventure in which Ollie, Diggle and Felicity took on a big pharma company CEO and killed him for failing the city. During the flashback Diggle warns Ollie that there will be blow back and well Prometheus as it happens is the son of this CEO and happens to have been trained in a specific fighting style by the same Bratva trainer that taught him.

Prometheus has been smart though in that he’s used Ollie’s insecurity and sense of guilt against him and pretty much duped him into killing the good Detective that has been keeping the resident ‘Arrow’ bicycle Felicity warm. I’d hate to see what happened if they killed Felicity. All hell would break loose.

The big surprise though comes in the closing moment of the episode in which Ollie walks into the Arrow HQ and meets Laurel Lance. But how, where, when, why?

For the answer to that. I guess we’ll have to wait a month or two.

Overall this was by the numbers and didn’t really feel like a mid season finale. But it was a good attempt and it was also good that there were no Bratva Flashbacks this week.

I am beginning to get the sense though that Ollie’s new girlfriend may well be on on Prometheus somehow.
