Hope Remains For A ‘Supernatural’ Spin-Off Series

"We'd love to do one. It probably would not happen this year, but at some point there will be another swing." - Mark Pedowitz

Although the first attempt for a ‘Supernatural’ spin-off series failed when attempted during the shows 9th season. It has not deterred the CW from trying again in the future.

‘Supernatural: Bloodlines’ failed to get picked up last year after airing a backdoor pilot in the main show’s ninth season, but Pedowitz says there “will be another swing” at it.

CW President Mark Pedowitz told Zap2it: “We’d love to do one. It probably would not happen this year, but at some point there will be another swing.”

Bloodlines centred on various Mafia-esque monster families who, unknown to humans, ran the underbelly of Chicago. The clans were being tracked by a hunter who wanted to get rid of anything supernatural in Chicago.

The spinoff starred Arrow‘s Melissa Roxburgh as well as Stephen Martines, Nathaniel Buzolic and Sean Faris.

‘Supernatural’ returns in the US for an 11th season on October 7 on The CW.
