HBO yesterday released the first teaser trailer for their television adaptation based on the much loved Michael Crichton movie ‘West World’.

It has to be said that the series looks pretty exciting and fairly faithful to many of the original concepts seen across both of Michael Crichton’s movies that dealt with Artificial Intelligent Robots functioning as actors in themed holiday resorts.

The video trailer, which is below aired just before season two of ‘True Detectives’ on Sunday night. The teaser brings viewers into ‘Westworld‘s’ Western-themed futuristic theme park where the androids go berserk and attack the guests.

The series stars Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs), Thandie Newton (Rogue), Jeffrey Wright (Boardwalk Empire), James Marsden (30 Rock), Evan Rachel Wood (Once and Again) and Ed Harris (The Rock).
