Hasbro announces ‘My Little Pony’ Movie

The My Little Pony franchise launched with a series of toys back in 1983, followed by four animated series.

Toy company Hasbro have announced plans for a ‘My Little Pony’ feature film.

According to Variety the colourful Pony’s, which first became popular in the 1980s will make their movie debut in 2017.

Ice Age 4: Continental Drift‘s Joe Ballarini will write the script for the project, to be released through Habro’s label, Allspark Pictures.

At present no story details have been revealed for the movie, but it could well follow up on events that were seen in the recent animated series ‘My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.’
