‘Ghostbusters’ Reboot Inspired By ‘Waking Dead’, Says Paul Feig

The director told The Walking Dead's spinoff show 'Talking Dead' that he wants his version of 'Ghostbusters' to be truly frightening.

The controversial new all female led reboot of ‘Ghostbusters’ is apparently inspired partly by ‘The Walking Dead.’

The director told The Walking Dead‘s spinoff show ‘Talking Dead’ that he wants his version of ‘Ghostbusters’ to be truly frightening.

“I will say, I was very inspired by [The Walking Dead],” Feig told Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick.

“What I love is how they play with the danger, they play with the scariness, but also the idea that it’s always about gauntlet run.

“And that’s something, an element I want to bring to this Ghostbusters reboot is having to get through these various obstacles that are supernatural and all that. I really feed off of The Walking Dead.”

The new film, which is a full on reboot of the classic 1984 film will star Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon as a new group of ‘Ghostbusters.’
