NBC have released a new teaser for their forthcoming revival of ‘Heroes’ and it offers fans a first look at Masi Oka’s return as the lovable Hiro.

Set against a choir’s sombre cover of Metallica’s ‘Nothing Else Matters’, the teaser showcases ordinary men, women and children from across the world who have the power to become extraordinary.

Other returning original characters include Jimmy Jean-Louis as Noah Bennet’s henchman The Haitian, Greg Grunberg as the troubled cop Matt Parkman and Cristine Rose as the manipulative empath Angela Petrelli.

Series creator Tim Kring is back at the helm for NBC’s 13 new episodes of Heroes Reborn, which introduces new elements and powers to the show’s established mythology.

‘Heroes Reborn’ will premiere on Thursday, September 24 on NBC.
