‘Sleepy Hollow’ is a show that no longer just exists on television, but also in the world of comics.

For some time now Boom Studios have been working on a series of comic book prequels to the television series and they are now available on the shows Facebook page and BOOM!’s Tumblr page.

The first two prologue stories centre on Ichabod and his supernatural crime busting partner Jenny Mills – who thanks to the series two teaser we know survived her ordeal at the close of season one. Both stories, which take place prior to season one have been written by Bad Robot’s Mike Johnson and illustrated by Matias Bergara.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a total of five shorts are planned. And then, BOOM!’s full ‘Sleepy Hollow’ comic, written by Marguerite Bennett with art by Jorge Coelho, will debut Oct. 15. The comic will also feature shorts by Noelle Stevenson.

As for the show, Sleepy Hollow returns Monday, Sept. 22 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
