‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Will Not Crossover With Original Show

‘Fear The Walking Dead’ is not likely to crossover with ‘The Walking Dead’.

‘The Walking Dead’ prequel series will take things back to the very start of everything in Los Angeles and will explore how the zombie virus came about.

Showrunner Dave Erickson told The Wrap: “I think there is an instinct when you have two different storylines that are living in the same mythology, you want to see them conflate. I’d love to see them conflate.”

Erickson added that he does not want to compromise the story of the new show by trying to squeeze in a time jump or flash forward style scenes.

“I just think there’s a lot of stories we can explore on our coast,” he explained.

“There’s chronological issues, there’s geographical issues and also you’ve got a show that’s very much specific to the comics.”

He finished: “I don’t think that Robert’s (Kirkman) going to start writing our show into that, so no, there’s no plans.”

Fear the Walking Dead premieres in the US on August 23 and debuts in September in the UK as a BT exclusive.
