‘Doctor Who’ Series 9 Prequel Will Screen In US Cinema’s Next Month

The series 9 prequel episode will be screening in the USA as part of the 3D cinema event, which will be showing 'Dark Water' and 'Death in Heaven'.

The BBC are going out of their way yet again to reward fans in America for their loyalty to the UK brand of ‘Doctor Who’.

The series 9 prequel episode will be screening in the USA as part of the 3D cinema event, which will be showing ‘Dark Water’ and ‘Death in Heaven’. Scheduled for September 15-16 at cinemas across the US, the screenings will feature appearances from Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman, with a panel hosted by Wil Wheaton.

The prequel episode, which is titled ‘The Doctor’s Meditation’ covers events that take place prior to the series 9 opening episode. At present there are no plot details about what time it is to be set in, but it is known that Michelle Gomez will be in the series 9 opener, which is titled ‘The Magicians Apprentice’, which could mean a possible appearance for her in the prequel.

At this current time it is not known when the prequel will be shown in the UK, but lets hope that it is shortly after the US release or on the same day once it has premiered in American Cinema’s. If it isn’t I can see many UK fans being a tad annoyed given that it is their TV license money that goes towards making ‘Doctor Who.’
