‘Divergent’ actor Theo James lands lead role in 5th ‘Underworld’ movie

According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers are hoping to begin production on the currently untitled film in spring 2015.

Theo James, who fans will remember for his role in ‘Divergent’ has just scored himself one of the lead roles in the forthcoming 5th ‘Underworld’, which actually sees him reprise the role of David who was an Ally of Selena in ‘Underworld: Awakening’.

However this time out David will be more than a supporting role.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers are hoping to begin production on the currently untitled film in spring 2015.

Kate Beckinsale will not return as Selena, after appearing in all previous instalments. The fifth film will expand the already established universe, rather than being a complete reboot, which is a huge relief for many of the ‘Underworld’ fans out there.

Theo James will star alongside two new female leads, with casting already underway for their roles.

Cory Goodman is on board to write the script, while Lakeshore’s Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi are producing.
