Disney to premiere ‘Frozon’ short in 2015 with a new song

Entitled 'Frozen Fever,' the short will see the return of all the main original characters and will also feature a song from Oscar winners Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

Disney have announced that they will be premiering a special ‘Frozen’ short animation, which will include a brand new song in 2015.

Entitled ‘Frozen Fever,’ the short will see the return of all the main original characters and will also feature a song from Oscar winners Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

The description for the film reads: “In Frozen Fever, it’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.”

Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are set to return to direct the short film.

The announcement comes on the back of an ABC special about the making of Frozen, while a new singalong version of the movie is due out on DVD and Blu-ray in November as the movie’s popularity refuses to wane.

Last year, Frozen grossed over $1 billion and is the highest-grossing animated movie of all time. It also won Best Animated Feature at this year’s Oscars.
